Could anyone provide me with a link or any information on Courtois serial numbers? I'm trying to date my flugelhorn, but I couldn't 'google' my way to a serial number list. I have a Courtois Flugelhorn with serial number 9196 on the second valve casing. On the third valve casing is stamped very small: BREVETE SGDG. Thanks! Ko

Yeah, there isn't a serial list for Courtois out there. I'm working on compiling a list to date Courtois instruments.. it's almost usable. I'm hoping to put it on the web when I get enough 'points' to accurately date instruments. Is there anything stamped on the bell, other than Antoine Courtois/ Paris? I'd date SN 8*** to the mid to late 1960s, and 9196 to the early 1970s. Somewheres around there.
